This enhanced five-day qualification (available from 1 September 2021), is ideal for those looking to build on the coaching foundations of LTA Assistant/Level 1, enabling you to lead in the delivery of group coaching. Successful candidates will receive a Level 1 Award in Coaching Tennis (QCF) awarded by 1st4sport plus RPT certification, International Coaches Institute Certification and a supplementary certificate from the European Union. These additional certificates are exclusive to RPT delivered courses and are not available through any other training provider.
Level 1 - A First Aid qualification is not a prerequisite for the Level 1 course. Level 2 - Before applying for a Level 2 course you must either: be a Registered Coach or must have a First Aid certificate which is no more than 3 years old, and; have a valid DBS disclosure done through the LTA or a signed Deployment without DBS letter.
LTA Assessments. From July 1 2021, the LTA will be responsible for assessments that are required to be undertaken as part of the Coach Qualification Pathway. We have made a number of changes to the assessment process to make it more accessible and relevant in line with the launch of the updated LTA qualifications.
